The Moose Legion General Meetings
are held |
|
"FROM THE MLC
CHAIRMAN" The Moose Legion
Committee meets on the first Wednesday of the month at The Moose Legion
Celebration is on the weekend of September 23, 24 and 25 at the "I HAVE FUN AT THE MOOSE !"
"FELLOWSHIP"
Our last meeting was
held on July 7th, with 7 Fellows in attendance. Not too bad considering
vacations and the busy summer schedule we all have, however, I encourage all
eligible Fellows to join our meetings if at all possible as we will have some
important issues to discuss in the near future. At the last meeting, we voted
to meet on a bimonthly basis, meaning the first Wednesday night at 7:00 PM of
every odd month. Please mark your calendars accordingly. I will be serving as
Fellowship Chairman again this year since we did not have any qualified Moose
Legionnaires to be submitted for elevation into the fellowship Degree. There
were several very close, but just lacked a small amount of the requirements
to be submitted. With that thought in mind, the following criteria MUST be met
in order to be considered. Those requirements are the following: 1. Must have 5 years
of continuous membership in the LOOM and 1 year of membership in the Moose
Legion by the end of June 2004. 2. Sponsorship of at
least 1 member since May 1st 2003, and 10 members during his Moose
membership. Or sponsored 5 members since May 1 st 2003. 3. Sponsored and
enrolled 1 Moose Legionnaire prior to April 30th of the previous year.
(2003).
The Fellows also voted to donate $715.40 to the Lodge from our fundraising
activities this past year. Many thanks to all that helped make this happen.
You're all a great group of Fellows! ! In closing, I encourage all Moose
Legionnaires aspiring advancement into the 3rd Degree of our order to
carefully read the above requirements and join with us. It is truly a very
exciting and rewarding experience. "I HAVE FUN AT THE MOOSE !"
